We do everything we can to keep your freight cost as low as possible by working with outside trucking companies, securing multiple bids, and offering you the lowest rates available.  For consistency in the bidding process, our standard freight quote is for tailgate delivery to commercial addresses.

We require a shipping destination in order to provide an accurate freight quote, understanding that billing and shipping address may be different.  Sales tax, if applicable, is assessed based on where the order is delivered.

IMPORTANT: Tailgate Delivery means that the truck will pull up in front of your place of business with your delivery, open the back of the truck, and you are responsible for unloading the shipment and carrying it into the salon.

Additional delivery services are available at an extra cost but these services must be requested when your order is placed to make certain your freight quote is accurate.  Any modifications or requests for additional delivery services after your order is placed may result in additional fees and delivery delays.

Please note: Chairs are delivered in two boxes, a chair top and a chair bottom.  Minimal assembly is required. Stations and other wood products come in several boxes; installation is required. We recommend contacting a local contractor to complete any necessary installation including electrical or plumbing connections.

ADDITIONAL SERVICES (Fees Vary by Delivery Location):

DELIVERY NOTIFICATION (Available on truck deliveries only)

LIFT GATE SERVICE  (Available on truck deliveries only)

  • The freight company will bring a truck with a lift gate.  The lift gate is used to lower the item from the truck bed down to the ground.
  • Useful if the client does not have a loading dock.
  • Truck driver will NOT carry the item into the salon.
  • It is the client’s responsibility to carry the item into the salon.

INSIDE DELIVERY (Available on truck deliveries only)

  • Truck Driver will HELP carry item inside.
  • Client must have a freight elevator if they are not on the first floor.
  • Inside delivery does NOT include carrying the item up stairs.
  • If the client does not have a loading dock they must pay for Lift Gate Services in additional to Inside Delivery if weight of item(s) is prohibitive of manual movement of goods.

RESIDENTIAL DELIVERY (Available on truck deliveries only)

  • Used if the client is having item delivered to their home or a home-base salon.
  • Additional transit time may be incurred if the shipment needs to be re-consigned to a smaller truck.
  • If the client does not have a loading dock they must pay for Lift Gate Services in additional to Inside Delivery if weight of item(s) is prohibitive of manual movement of goods.

Please inspect all boxes for any signs of damage before signing and accepting the delivery.  Once you have signed the bill of lading, you agree that you are accepting the order as is.  If there are signs of damage, the please be sure to note it on the bill of lading and sign it.

Freight Damage

If Customer receives obviously freight damaged products, we ask you to please refuse the delivery upon the original delivery attempt. If damaged products are accepted from the carrier, all damage must be noted on the carrier delivery record. A Bill of Lading signed without noting damage is considered a waiver of any future damage claim.  The recipient should save the product, the original packaging, photograph the damage if feasible, and notify VEECO MANUFACTURING, INC. in writing immediately to arrange for a carrier inspection and a pick up of damaged products. Notifications of freight damage may be faxed to 312-666-7945 or emailed to info@veecosalonfurniture.com with Customer Name, Date of Delivery, and FREIGHT DAMAGE NOTIFICATION in the Subject Line.  Notification of damaged products must be submitted within 5 days of accepting delivery (2 additional days will be allowed in the case of concealed damage). Timely receipt of this information is necessary for the filing of a damage claim.  If notification is received within the stated time frame, claims are waived by the buyer.

Damage claims will only be accepted for new furniture pieces, any clearance items or show room models sold “as is” are not eligible for return or refund.
