An Interview with Veeco’s Mechanical Engineer, Nozomu Ito.
The Ito Hydraulic Styling Chair was created by our Design Engineer, Nozomu Ito. This chair brings modern style and function to your salon floor. The frame is plated in a durable, nickel-chrome satin finish and the foot rest flips up and out of the way, minimizing its footprint when the chair is not in use. Available in many upholstery choices to best match your decor, every Ito styling chair features an American-Made Highland round or star base.
The Ito Chair was a custom design created for Clary Sage Salon. Our customer was looking to update their styling chairs to something more contemporary, that would complement the stainless-steel mirrors and Crazy Cab Mobile Salon Carts they were using at their location. Specifically, the exposed metal arms and slots in the chair borrowed from the vertical lines and stainless steel panels in both these accompanying pieces.
When asked why this chair is such a success, Ito commented “because of its unique appearance, state of the art craftsmanship, and natural ergonomic comfort, it lends itself well to any salon looking to showcase a retro-modern theme. The ability to customize the seat cushions in any number of color choices and combinations also makes it highly adaptable to almost any environment. By listening to the customer’s needs, Nozomu developed what turned out to be a functional, beautiful, unique, and long-lasting hydraulic chair perfectly suited for their salon. It is this type of collaborative, custom design work that sets Veeco apart in the beauty industry.”
